Getting Here

From Northern Virginia:

- I-66 West to US Rte 17 North to US Hwy 50 West
OR
- US Hwy 50 West
OR
- Route 7 West; to I-81 traveling North towards Winchester (below)

From Baltimore, MD and other Maryland locations:

- Take I-70 or I-270 west to Frederick, MD
- In Frederick, pick up US 340 South (towards Charles Town, WV)
- Continue on US 340 south through Harper's Ferry and Charles Town
- Watch road signs through Charles Town, make a right hand exit to pick up the 340 bypass
- Continue into Virginia and pickup Route 7 West (towards Winchester, VA)
- Take Route 7 West approximately 10 miles to I-81 North
- Follow directions from I-81 traveling North towards Winchester (below)

From Washington, DC:

- Take US 66 West to US 17 North (exit 23)
- Take US 17 North approximately 8 miles to US 50 West (Warning: 45 mph speed limit on this stretch is enforced very aggressively!)
- US 50 West approximately 15 miles to I-81 North
- Follow directions from I-81 traveling North towards Winchester (below)

Directions From I-81 traveling North Towards Winchester:

Follow I-81 North to Exit 310. Take Exit 310 and continue on Route 37 North.

Follow Route 37 North approximately 6 miles and take the Route 522 exit (the first exit after the Winchester Hospital). At the end of the ramp/traffic light, turn left onto Route 522 North for 13 miles and turn left on Route 127.

Follow Route 127 westward for approximately 11 miles to Route 29 North. (Route 127 ends at this point. Straight becomes 29 South, turn right—you’re on 29 North.)

Turn right on Route 29 North and follow it for just over 3 miles. You will come to the small, unincorporated hamlet of Pin Oak (look for the “Public Stream Access” sign on the right).Take the right-hand, hairpin turn on to Cabin Run Road (improved, winding dirt road designated “29/4”). After approximately 1¼ miles, turn left at the “T” intersection. Follow the road as it descends for another 1½ miles to The Crossings at the Great Cacapon River. Along this stretch you’ll come to a fork in the road; stay left and continue down toward the river. the farmhouse, bear right past the old white barn, and approach the green gate. Enter the combination (from your host property owner) on the keypad and it will swing open toward you. When leaving, just approach the gate slowly on the right side of the road and it will swing outward. The gate will automatically close behind you after 15 seconds (in either direction).

 

Directions From I-81 traveling South Towards Winchester:

Follow I-81 South to Exit 317. Take Exit 317 and continue towards Routes 11 and 37 South. After about ¼ mile bear right on to Route 37 South.

Take Route 37 South for approximately 1 ½ miles and exit to Route 522 North.

Follow Route 522 North for 13 miles and turn left on Route 127.

Follow Route 127 westward for approximately 11 miles to Route 29 North. (Route 127 ends at this point. Straight becomes 29 South, turn right—you’re on 29 North.)
